Apartmaji in sobe Cavtat 5141

The apartment was easy to find and taxi drivers at the airport know the area to it well. It"s close to a bus stop which can take you into the local town as it"s a 30 min walk away. However we always walked each day because the area is so beautiful. Keep in mind that the apartment is on a steep hill and the bus stop is even higher and about a 7-10 mins walk on foot. The nearby beach is great, a little rocky so we"d suggest using swimming shoes or sandals in the shallow areas. There"s so many activities you can do there from relaxing, to jet-skiing, kayaking, etc. Plenty of activities for children too. This room in particular doesn"t have aircon, but there"s a wide window with shutters you can adjust and a fan which is adequate. Also the sun doesn"t hit that side of the building until mid to late afternoon, so if you close the window and shutters at that time you can keep the room cool enough until night, when you can open the window again. The room also has a mini fridge which we stocked with water, other drinks and snacks. The bathroom was clean, fresh towels were available, and they had excellent water pressure so no slow showers or long waits between toilet flushes. As you can see in the picture the double bed is just two singles pushed together but the mattresses are so comfortable and not too hot either. There"s plenty of space in the room for two people and storage space for clothes and belongings. There are some Hangers in the closet too. There"s an old tv on top of the closet which we never used, so no idea if it works. We also brought our own pocket wifi so we don"t know if the wifi was good or not. We never used the shared kitchen either as we ate out each day. Our only problem with the room was that there were ants in there. Not many but enough to be annoying, especially when a few got on the bed. I don"t know if it"s because the building is surrounded by trees and plants, which is great for keeping the area cool. But it was annoying. So just don"t leave any food or anything sweet around. Our juice drinks we always put in the fridge and took away any food garbage with us when we went into town. The hosts were very kind, friendly and helpful. They let us leave our bags when we arrived early before our check in. They were around if you had questions and gave us lots of maps and boat/bus schedules. We never really stayed in the room all that much we used it as a base and spent most of our time in the town, at the beach or in Dubrovnik. If you prefer staying in hotels maybe this room isn"t for you. If you"re looking for something affordable and near the beach and you don"t mind walking far to reach town then this is the place for you. One final thing. Uber taxis will save you a lot of Kuna! Usually its 150 kuna to or from the aiport, but uber taxis will do it for around 47-55 kuna (for this address anyway). :p
